his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He lives in New

Laurie Wagner Buyer - Born to USAF parents in Edinburgh, Scotland, she spent her young years moving from place to place around the world. In 1975 she came West from Chicago, Illinois. Laurie married Mick Buyer in 1989 and spent the next fifteen years running cows on the DM Ranch. They now reside in Texas. Laurie has written for many agricultural and ranching magazines. Her poems were also published in fifteen anthologies. She appeared seven times at the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering in Elko, Nevada. www.lauriewagnerbuyer.com John D. Nesbitt - John D. Nesbitt lives in the plains country of Wyoming, where he teaches English and Spanish at Eastern Wyoming College. sixty novels under his own name and his pen name, Frank Leslie. He has
published two books under the Ralph Compton name and penned the DC comic
book series, Bat Lash, with John Severin and Sergio Aragones. He lives
in Colorado. Mart Shaughnessy - Raised when cowboys were
"king" on TV and in the movies, Mart got into horses late in life,
but showed his appaloosas to four World Championships. His first published work was a
short story, Frontier Justice, which won the genre fiction category of
the 2009 Writers Digest 78th Annual Writing Contest. He and his wife, Patty,
live on fifteen acres in Gavilan Hills, California, with six horses and two
dogs. Their twin sons and their
families love to visit "The Ranch". Celia Yeary - Celia Yeary, a native
Texan and a former science teacher is mother of two, grandmother of three, and wife of a
wonderful, supportive Texan. They
enjoy traveling, and both are involved in their church, the community, and the
